About Patrick Ryan

Patrick Ryan has served as the vice president of the Batista Group in Lombard, Illinois, since 2012, at which time he also oversaw village infrastructure maintenance and operation in the Village of Homewood. With Batista Group, he performs independent contracting work centered on the bioremediation and rehabilitation of various unused previously-developed lands known as brownsites. Among Patrick Ryan’s accomplishments is facilitating infrastructure upgrades to single and multifamily housing and representing homeowner groups before state and municipal building and environmental agencies. 

A previous public works director for Hyattsville, Maryland, Ryan led and supervised a team of over two dozen employees in ensuring infrastructure preservation and operation. His responsibilities included the repair and upkeep of extensive roadways and rights-of-ways, as well as a major stormwater and sewage collection systems. He also effectively developed and implemented preventative maintenance plans and systems for tracking inventory and determining equipment that needed replacement.

An outdoor enthusiast, Ryan hikes and takes camping trips to various locales, including Glacier National Park and the Olympic Peninsula. He is active in organizations such as the American Public Work Association and the International Society of Arboriculture.
